E. Duzman, MD
Dr. Duzman is an Ophthalmologist who has over 25 years experience examining children's eyes. He received his MD degree in 1971, after graduating from Hadassah Medical School, part of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
He trained in Neurology and in Ophthalmology at the Hadassah Medical Center and the affiliated Medical Center in Rehovot Israel. The training had special emphasis on Pediatric Ophthalmology - Diagnosis and treatment of children's eye conditons.
During these years he was active in conducting basic research at the Weitzman Research Institute in Israel.
Dr. Duzman received his Ophthalmology Board certification in 1978 in Israel.
In 1980 Dr. Duzman joined the University of California Irvine (UCI) Department of Ophthalmolgy faculty. During the years 1980-1994, Dr. Duzman was promoted to Ophthalmology Professor and Chief of the department of Ophthalmology at the UCI Medical Center.
Dr. Duzman published close to 100 articles in peer review and professional Journals and several text books chapters. He was also invited to present papers in many scientific meetings both in the U.S. and abroad.
Currently, Dr. Duzman is continuing to participate in several clinical research projects in addition to practicing clinical Ophthalmology at Lake Side Vision Center and providing eyecare for Kids & Teens at Young Styles Eyecare both, in Irvine California.
James D. Carlen - Optician

James has been an Optician for 26 years. He was ABO certified in 1994. He has a lot of experience in fitting children with eyewear working in several Optometric Family Practices. He loves working with children and fitting them with the proper shape and color frame that looks best on them. He has also worked as a Optical Lab Manager in an Optometric practice and is familiar with the finished product when it comes to lense thickness and proper fitting of frames. James has been happily married for 21 years to his beautiful wife Janet and has three children ranging from the ages of 6 to 14. He lives in Irvine in Woodbridge and is involved in the community and local schools. |
